2006 - Five Things Aging Parents Need Most

Assuming your parents have basic survival needs of a place to live, food to eat, financial resources, and safety from physical harm, you might consider five other needs that help better their quality of life.

They need to be included in the family, to be treated respectfully, to maintain relationships based on honesty and trust, to have help with health issues, and to have help maintaining intellectual and spiritual health.

Works in Progress

Christine Adams is presently working on two manuscripts with educational themes. The first is called A Child's Intelligence: 7 Steps To Smart Activity Choices.

As a Senior English teacher for thirty-two years, she watched the college process unfold for more than three thousand students. She came to believe that parents can help kids focus their activities long before they write the inevitable senior class resume.

So, she tracked down Mary Donovan, a former Senior English teacher colleague of hers for twenty-two years at Chelmsford High School, Chelmsford, Mass and they began to hammer out this book

Strengthened by the teaching experiences of two dedicated teachers - as well as parental experiences –A Child’s Intelligence: 7 Steps to Smart Activity Choices contains a lifetime of stories, knowledge, and definately, a bit of wisdom.

The School Factory

The second is a narrative non-fiction piece entitled School Factory. The School Factory presents a frighteningly honest picture of the human and inhuman aspects of a public school system from the insider’s view – the teacher and the many students she comes to know. It’s a story that rarely gets told in its totality, and to my knowledge, has never been told in this format.
